Chips Bring a Party Down - The Sidekicks

I kept the light on
So I could see when the rain came
Wrote down my times, no chance for forgetting.
I've got my alarm to wake me up.
Let my calendar set me up.
But I was honestly upset
When I saw the sun was coming out today.

Talking is through waves and places.
My life is projected on a screen.
Contact and gestures are
secondary communication.
Now all my senses are fleeing
I'll need a gauge to know
my heart is still beating

Keep me safe in this box of steel,
Oh but this shivering spine is so real
I feel so disconnected
where did that feeling go?
My arms, my feet
My voice have lost control.
